We are Your Body on the Earth (Together)

This song was written for my local ‘Week of Prayer for Christian Unity’ service that was held by my local Churches Together organisation that promotes unity and celebrates the diversity that exists within the different streams of The Church in our town.

It can also transition to speak about unity amongst The Church in general.

You can use this song in your church, home group or whatever context you find yourself in. There is a chord chart you can download for free at the bottom of this page. If you do use it, please report your use to CCLI. Many thanks.

We Are Your Body on the Earth (Together)

CCLI number: 7034057

VERSE 1
We are Your body on the Earth
A body made of living stones
We are Your hands, we are Your feet
Taking Your good news to the world

VERSE  2
Becoming more and more like You
As we walk humbly every day
Transform our hearts and change our minds
With every step along the way

CHORUS
Together we are stronger
Jesus make us one
Together we go further
Jesus make us one

VERSE 3
Standing up for what is right
Speaking out at what is wrong
Showing Your love to broken lives
Restoring hope to shattered ones

BRIDGE
Firm on the rock of Christ we stand
Your church victorious and free
Pure spotless bride with great ‘I Am’
Standing as one in unity
