Messy Christmas

We had great fun at Messy Church on Saturday 1st December. There were lots of Christmas themes crafts including: Christmas wreaths, a nativity scene tree decoration made out of lolly sticks, Icing cupcakes with a baby Jesus in a manger, Christmas crowns and Christmas cards to colour in and give to someone.

As it was a special event lots of people came dressed up either in nice Christmas party clothes or as a Bible character from the Christmas story.

I was a mouse detective from the re-telling of the story. Everyone joined in with the story by doing actions or making sounds when certain words were said. It was great fun.

At the end everyone was given a gift of a little book that told the story we had just heard (for the Children) and adults were given a Christmas tract ‘How to Survive Christmas’). There we lots left so an offer was made if anyone wanted to take an extra one to give to a friend – lots were taken to give away to others!

The catering team had put together a very festive buffet which was enjoyed by all.

Our next Messy Church is on:
Saturday 12th January
3:30pm
Queen Mary Centre
